Ants like to be around trees, plants, grass, etc. Although sometimes considered a nuisance, ants also have benefits for soil fertility such as increasing organic matter into the soil, changing soil chemistry for the better, and making the soil rich in nitrogen and phosphorus. How to get rid of ants?

Here are the steps to get rid of ants:

Sanitation – First, you need to do sanitation such as doing house cleaning to prevent ants from nesting in the house.
Natural Ways – The second step, use natural methods such as sprinkling black or red pepper (cayenne) around the kitchen and elsewhere. Anecdotal evidence suggests that it is a safe way to help repel ants by taking advantage of the annoying smell of pepper.
Organic Liquid Spray – The third step, use an organic liquid spray if ants are still a lot in your house.
Chemical Treatment – The last step, you can use a chemical treatment from Geotermix if you think the above method is not optimal.

How to prevent ants?

Ants are often found in the crevices of buildings. They like to hide and nest in crevices and can easily enter your home whenever there are food crumbs on the table or anywhere else. So, the best way to prevent ants is to apply sanitation that can keep your home clean.

Cleaning – Clean tables, chairs, shelves, cabinets, and trash cans regularly from food residue and oil residue and use cleaning liquid afterward to make them smell good.
Manage your trash can – Collect trash, especially food scraps, and put it in a plastic bag, then tie the plastic bag tightly. Be sure to place a plastic bag full of leftovers in a trash can with a lid.
Sealing – Seal all cracks in walls, ceilings, floors and drains to prevent ants from nesting in these areas.
Take Care of Your Garden – Cut any plants or branches that touch the buildings.
